This is titled “Flash of Light” after what Joann Wolfgang von Goethe’s last words were — “More light!”
I have been going back and forth between mixed media collage and larger paintings. I have really been thinking about wanting my work to feel like MY VOICE, which doesn’t always translated when I create simple cyanotypes. The Cyanotype process by design turns out blue — many people think my work is that of another artist because they recognize the process. With mixed media & collage, I find a freedom to really make pieces my own, in all my multifaceted ways — as a choreographer, dancer, musician, printmaker, painter, mother, daughter, artist.
