The cyanotype is both a printmaking process and the oldest photographic process. It was developed in the 1800’s as a way to create multiple copies using the UV rays from the sun. This is actually where the blueprint got its name! In this workshop, we will take the traditional cyanotype process a step further and dive more deeply into wet cyanotypes, the process of “toning” our prints, and experimenting with creating long-exposure works. All materials will be provided. *Material fee: $25/person to be paid to the instructor.*
